Rodri completes transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona

Barcelona has completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Rodri from Manchester City after reaching an agreement on the club’s final bid, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“RODRI TO BARCELONA, HERE WE GO! Deal agreed for Spanish midfielder to join Barça from Man City, all done for the former Ballon d’Or,” Romano announced on Sunday.

He added that Manchester City had given the green light to Barcelona’s final offer, bringing an end to negotiations for the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner.

Rodri, a key figure in Spain’s midfield, is returning to La Liga after Barcelona reportedly beat competition from Real Madrid to secure his signature.

Recent reports had valued the transfer at between €70 million and €80 million.

Both clubs are understood to be optimistic that the deal will be finalised quickly, potentially allowing Barcelona to present the midfielder ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
