Sunderland AFC delivered a resolute defensive masterclass, grinding out a 0-0 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, frustrating the visitors in a tense affair at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats, battling for survival in the 2025/26 season, parked the bus effectively against a Manchester United side that’s been prolific under head coach Michael Carrick.

Despite waves of pressure, United couldn’t find a breakthrough, marking the first time they’ve failed to score since Carrick’s appointment in January 2026.
