Video: Iran warns of “forceful” retaliation if Hormuz incident used as pretext by “American‑Zionist” enemy

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said it will respond with “force” if the so‑called “American‑Zionist enemy” uses a recent incident in the Strait of Hormuz as a pretext for attacks, vowing strikes on enemy positions across the region and on any country that hosts them.
In a statement released after the IRGC said it fired warning shots at a vessel it described as traveling on an unauthorised route, the corps warned that any attempt to exploit the Hormuz incident “will be met with FORCE.”
The statement pledged to target “enemy positions in the region” and affirmed that strikes would extend to “any country hosting them.”
The message follows an IRGC announcement that it had re‑closed the Strait of Hormuz “until US operations end,” part of an intensifying cycle of hostilities between Tehran and Washington in 2026.
Iran’s move and the warning shots were framed by the IRGC as enforcement of maritime rules and a defensive measure against perceived foreign interference.
