In a sharp jab amid simmering US-Iran tensions, the Iranian Embassy in Türkiye mocked a White House video on social media, claiming the US is hilariously undermining its own president.
The embassy’s official X account (formerly Twitter) replied sarcastically to the May 2, 2026, White House post compiling an hour of President Trump repeatedly chanting “winning.”
“Thank you, the White House—there’s no need for us to make jokes about you anymore, because you’re already busy turning the President into a source of comedy yourselves,” the post read, punctuated with laughter emojis.
The White House video aimed to promote Trump’s messaging but drew ridicule for its repetitive clips, which the Iranians portrayed as self-sabotaging absurdity.
This exchange continues a pattern of Iranian diplomatic accounts using social media satire to counter Trump administration narratives, escalating online barbs between the two nations.
