The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a scathing attack on opposition leader Peter Obi, branding him a “political rolling stone that gathers no moss” as reports swirl of his potential exit from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a social media post, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka accused Obi of endlessly drifting between parties in pursuit of easy presidential bids.

“Peter Obi, a political rolling stone that gathers no moss … roaming again in search of free, uncontested, unchallenged presidential ticket, never willing to remain to build any party, fantasizes to be president on a ticket delivered only a platter of gold—APGA – PDP – LP – ADC on to NDC … fare thee well, Nigeria’s inconsolable political DRIFTER,” Morka wrote.

The remarks come amid breaking news that Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso plan to abandon the crisis-ridden ADC for the NDC as early as May 5, 2026, positioning themselves for the 2027 general elections. Morka’s critique traces Obi’s path.

Through APGA, PDP, Labour Party (LP), and now ADC, portraying him as unwilling to build lasting party structure.

The exchange underscores deepening fragmentation within Nigeria’s opposition, where high-profile party switches are commonplace as figures like Obi seek stable platforms to challenge the ruling APC.
