The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has condemned the recent surge in violence across Nigeria.
NASFAT in a statement made available for Dailyeconomy on Thursday tagged the repeated attacks on innocent citizens and communities “tragic, alarming, and deeply troubling”.
“The pace setting global Islamic Society, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), has strongly condemned the persistent wave of insecurity across Nigeria, describing the recurring attacks on innocent citizens and communities as tragic, alarming, and deeply troubling,” the statement reads partly.
NASFAT expressed “profound concern over the continuous loss of lives, destruction of livelihoods, and the growing atmosphere of fear,” and warned that peace, security and social stability are indispensable for national growth, economic advancement and collective well‑being.
The society urged government authorities, security agencies, traditional institutions and citizens to “strengthen collaborative efforts aimed at protecting lives, preserving property, and restoring confidence among communities across the country.”
It said the response to insecurity must combine lawful, constructive measures and community cooperation.
As part of its spiritual response, NASFAT announced special prayers in all its branches worldwide this coming Sunday, seeking “divine intervention, protection, wisdom, and lasting peace for Nigeria and its people.”
The organisation described prayer as “a powerful source of hope, strength, and moral renewal, particularly during difficult times,” and encouraged members and well‑meaning Nigerians to take part.
“The initiative reflects NASFAT’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, harmony, justice, and sustainable development,” the statement added, reaffirming support for measures that address insecurity and foster understanding among Nigeria’s diverse communities.
NASFAT called on Nigerians at home and abroad to “remain steadfast, hopeful, and united despite prevailing challenges,” expressing confidence that “through sincere prayers, responsible leadership, effective security measures, and collective action, Nigeria will overcome insecurity and emerge stronger, safer, and more prosperous for future generations.”
