United States President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to Iran today, proposing an end to the ongoing Operation Epic Fury and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic, including Iranian vessels, if Tehran agrees to the current negotiation terms.
In a statement released via social media, Trump wrote, “Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran.
“If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The announcement pairs a diplomatic off-ramp with a warning of significantly escalated bombing if Iran refuses, reflecting high-stakes pressure amid ongoing regional tensions.
The Strait of Hormuz handles about 20% of global oil trade, making any resolution or escalation there critical for energy prices and international shipping stability.
However, it was gathered that oil futures ticked up 2% in after-hours trading following the post.
